| Bio: |   Music is in my Soul: There are few things I love more than music. Music is an all day/everyday thing for me. I live and breathe for a good song. Not only do I listen to it constantly, I also play the piano. I'm not that good, but it's fun and eventually I'll get better. I don't write music or anything, but I wish I could. All genres of music appeal to me on some level (except maybe rap and heavy screaming death metal). I love world music from Africa, Ireland/Scotland, Finland, Australia, France, Hungary, Romania, Italy, the Middle East and Asia as well. My music collection is huge and includes Broadway Musicals, Soundtracks, Instrumental, Country, Tribal Drums, Native American, Classic Rock, Oldies, Goth, Industrial, Indie, Bluegrass, Alternative, Industrial, Techno, Europop, Rock, Enviromental Sounds, Foreign, Bellydance, Celtic, Civil War era Music and lots of other misc. stuff. My favorite band of all time is H.I.M., but there are many other artists that are a close second such as; The 69 Eyes, AFI, A Perfect Circle, Within Temptation, Ozzy Osbourne, Tori Amos, Poisonblack, Johnny Clegg, Bruce Springsteen, The Rasmus, Counting Crows, Negative, Tonic, Vertical Horizon, Four Star Mary, Type O Negative, Nox Arcana, Whitesnake, Meat Loaf, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Poets of the Fall, Eagles, The Doors, The Wallflowers, Bon Jovi, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Lovex, Pink Floyd, Rasputina, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Uniklubi, Alison Krauss, Blue Oyster Cult, Johnny Cash, U2, Ofra Haza, Dar Williams, Joan Baez, Linda Eder, Joanne Shenandoah, Billy Idol, Moonspell, Blackmore's Night, Rob Zombie, KISS, Queen, Poison, Cowboy Junkies, Moving Pictures, Kill Hannah, Enigma, Nickelback, Sting, Roger Daltrey, The Jeff Healey Band, Aqua, Hit n Hide, Patty Griffin, and others.  I read almost constantly and I am obsessed with languages. I have in the past attempted to learn Japanese (this is going rather well actually), Swahili (I can sing a lot of Swahili songs), Italian, Finnish (still working on this one), and Latin. After all that I only know some basic phrases and stuff, but I do speak French rather well. As for books, I love fantasy, historical romances, supernatural type stories with werewolves and vampires, historical novels, crime novels, mysteries, classic literature (especially Russian and French like Victor Hugo, Moliere, Leo Tolstoy, and Fyodor Dostoevsky), and some young adult. I have an extensive collection of books (I really am a book whore) that also includes lots of Non-Fiction about The American Civil War (one of my favorite topics), King Arthur and his Knights, Paganism, Witchcraft, the Pony Express, Native American tribes, the early Celtic People, the Roman Empire, Gladiators of Ancient Rome, Archaeology, Foreign Dictionaries and Language Instruction, Fairy Tales, Mythology, Astronomy, Ancient Egypt, Poetry, and various biographies and memoirs of ancient and modern figures (ie Anais Nin, Nefertiti, Sam Houston, Wild Bill Hickok, Czeslaw Milosz, General James Longstreet, Maj. Gen. Joshua Chamberlain, Emily Dickinson). So basically I love as many different kind of books as I love different kinds of music. But primarily I am just a constantly creative individual. I dabble in various forms of art including, jewelry, painting, photography, drawing, digital art (is my specialty), mixed media art, collage, icon making, writing, poetry, fashion design and costuming, singing, and dancing. I love all things that involve creativity and someday I would like to be a famous artist or writer (preferrably before I die *LOL*). I don't think I would be so prolific an artist if I wasn't tortured in some way. I love beautiful things, or rather, things I consider beautiful. One of the most wonderful things for me is the range of life's emotions and the depths of the human soul. I love compassion and humanity, but I think what makes me tortured is that I feel acutely that we are losing all of our compassion and humanity. I hate what our society has become and it tears my heart out that was born into this world with no way out and no way back. I LOVE history because I think in some ways the world was better back then, and therefore I always wish I could go back in time, which is my cross to bear. I can never go back in time so I try to find beauty in the world, in simple things and put it into my art so that I have something worth living for. So that I don't feel so empty and sad. I haven't had the time to post all my new icons, of which there are about 200.
